About this site -
In this website you can see some of the beautiful locations to be found when cycling in Ayrshire. At the moment all of the views are taken along National Cycle Network Route 7 from Troon to Irvine. I will add more when I get the time.
Hopefully once you have looked through this site you will be inspired to get out and see the real thing for yourself. The cycle routes are maintained by the local councils and a team of Sustrans volunteer rangers like myself. If you would like a guided tour, dust off your bike and email me. Don’t worry, I’m not interested in going fast. A leisurely pace suits me just fine.

About the images -
The views you can see are technically a little special. The correct name for them is QuickTime Virtual Reality scenes. QTVR for short. They will automatically rotate through 360° if you let them but, they can do more. If you place the mouse arrow on the image and hold down the mouse button you can drag the scene about to look all around you. You can even look straight up and down. You should also be able to zoom in and out using the CONTROL and SHIFT keys (click on the image first).
Don’t ask me how I made the scenes. Let's just say, “It’s a slow, complicated process.”

Please note that with the exception of the Sustrans logos and the map which I am using with permission, everything else was made by and belongs to me so, please do not pinch my hard work. I don’t mind someone using it on their own computer but, it may not be published in any manner whatsoever without my consent. Thanks.

P.S. - The dog you will see in the scenes is Cassie my collie. She follows me around everywhere and, as you will notice, she has the uncanny knack of getting into all my photos.
